My career as a storyteller began with a complete failure! While shooting my first film, I discovered that my father's Super 8 camera accidentally had only 3 seconds of film left. I was 6 and I knew that my story - two plastic dinosaurs fighting for supremacy under the living room rubber tree - would definitely remain unfinished. I was completely disenchanted! Only 40 years later I learned that a story can, in fact, be told in 3 seconds. But at that time my father had already left me to start a new family somewhere else. I guess, that’s how a quest begins.
A lot has happened since then: Training as a journalist, actor and director, pioneer of Swiss private television and co-founder of the professional genre of video journalism, "mercenary" for national and international TV productions, troubleshooter, jack-of-all-trades, award-winner, screenwriter, storytelling consultant and founder of several companies - most recently the Storytelling Academy Switzerland. This is, of course, my glossed over CV. You will hear nothing of my "wild" life here. Neither of the ecstasy, the sparkling heavens nor of the devouring abysses of the dragon - in short, of my very personal quest. But you can always ask me about it.
Today I support small and large organizations as a storytelling consultant and narrative architect with a strong focus on leadership and orientation. Together with experts in linguistics, psychology and artificial intelligence, I design nifty little Al analysis tools to map the unmapped in human communication. We need new guiding stars. That’s what I’m burning for.
